Y2K conversion - cheque tracking and funds transfer system

Y2K conversion and rewrite of an old undocumented DOS based system written in ZIM, which is not Y2K compliant. The system is used to keep track of cheques in Canadian and US funds, exchange rates, accounts payables and receivables, but is not an accounting system, and cannot be replaced with off the shelf software.

System was being rewritten in Clarion/Windows 95, with protoyping and database analysis in MS Access. Interim conversion was done by trapping database to printer dumps in ZIM/DOS into a file, and using Visual Basic to clean this into an ASCII file for import to Access. Extraction and conversion of existing data, audit of current system to find errors in data and logic.
