Conversion from Clipper to FoxPro

An existing system had been written in Clipper to keep track of over the counter cash and cheque payments for receivables. The system maintained customer and project database, as well as tracking financial data. The customer was having problems with the existing reporting, and was receiving out of balance reports.

The original program specifications, and documentation had been lost. The system was reverse engineered into a FoxPro for Windows application. The systems were run in parallel in order to ensure that duplicate results were being obtained, including the out of balance conditions. This allowed validation of the programming errors in the original system that caused the incorrect reporting.

The errors were then corrected and the system migrated to FoxPro.
