Production Line System Forecasting

Production lines in various plants were creating products for the consumer market. In order to produce different products, the production line must be shut down, with loss of productivity. However, producing too much at one time required excess warehouse space, and the possibility of not selling before the expiry date.

A system had been developed to combine figures from the production line computer system and the sales forecasting system to help to estimate actual estimated product consumption. This system needed additional programming to fine tune the estimation, and allow for product groupings.
